Ninh Binh, with Tam Coc and Hoa Lu, is often called “Ha Long Bay on land” thanks to its spectacular limestone landscapes and tranquil waterways.

Day 1 : Ha Noi – Mai Chau
Meals : Lunch/ Dinner. Accommodation : Private room in a local homestay ( Mai Hich ).
– 07:00 AM: Your private car and English-speaking guide pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi.
– Depart for Mai Chau via Highway 6 (approx. 140 km), passing rice fields, sugarcane farms, cassava plantations, and orange orchards.
– Stop at Thung Khe Pass to enjoy stunning mountain views and observe the daily life of the Muong ethnic people.
– Visit Mai Chau Flag Point for a panoramic view of the valley.
– Upon arrival, enjoy a 1.5-hour walking tour through peaceful villages with rice fields, traditional stilt houses, and local people weaving clothes and scarves.
– Drive about 10 km to Mai Hich, a quiet and less-touristy area known as the “backyard” of Mai Chau.
– Check in at the homestay and enjoy lunch.
– In the afternoon, enjoy a leisure walk or cycling tour through villages such as Ban Hich, Ban Den, Ban Ngoa, Sam Khoe, and Ban Buoc.
Admire limestone mountains, rivers, green fields, and suspension bridges while observing the daily life of Thai people farming, fishing, and raising buffaloes.
– Return to the traditional stilt house of your friendly Thai host for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 : Mai Chau – Cuc Phuong national Park – Tam Coc
Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner / Accommodation : Bungalow in Tam Coc
– Breakfast at the homestay.
– Drive approximately 145 km to Cuc Phuong National Park.
– Enjoy a 4 km medium-level trek through ancient forests under the shade of thousand-year-old trees.
Along the way, observe rare flora, listen to birdsong, and experience the rich biodiversity of the park.
– Continue walking to visit a thousand-year-old tree, stopping for photos along the trail.
– Lunch at a local restaurant.
– Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center and Turtle Conservation Center to learn about conservation efforts and see some of the world’s rarest primates and turtles.
– Optional visit to the Cave of Prehistoric Man.
– Drive to Tam Coc, enjoy dinner, and overnight in Tam Coc.
Day 3 : Mua Cave – Tam Coc – Bich Dong – Hoa Lu
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch / accommodation: not included
– Breakfast and check out of the bungalow.
– Visit Mua Cave, considered the most beautiful viewpoint in Ninh Binh.
Hike up 458 stone steps to Dragon Mountain for a panoramic view of Tam Coc, limestone peaks, and valleys.
– Enjoy a cycling tour around Tam Coc, Lotus Valley, and Sunshine Valley, biking through rice paddies and rural villages.
– Visit Bich Dong Pagoda (Jade Cave), a complex of three pagodas (Lower, Middle, and Upper) built on the mountainside, and learn about Vietnamese Buddhism.
– Have lunch at a local restaurant.
– Take a rowing boat trip (2 people per boat) to explore Sunshine Valley, a hidden gem away from the crowds. The 1.5-hour boat trip passes peaceful rivers, limestone mountains, tranquil valleys, and two cool caves.
– Explore Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam dating back to the 10th century. Visit temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le and learn about Vietnam’s early history.
– Drive back to Hanoi and drop you off at your hotel. Tour ends.
