Day 1: Ha Noi – Ha Giang – Quan Ba
Meals: Lunch, Dinner/ Accommodation: Bungalow in Nam Dam village
07:00 AM: Your private car and tour guide pick you up at your hotel in Ha Noi. Drive approximately 6 hours (330 km) to Quan Ba, enjoying views of peaceful countryside, tea plantations, rivers, and mountains along the way.
– Have lunch at a local restaurant en route.
– Continue along winding mountain roads to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, stopping for panoramic views and photos of the famous Twin Mountains (Fairy Bosom).
– Trekking about 2 hours from Quan Ba Heaven Gate down to Nam Dam Village, passing terraced hills, lush fields, and traditional Dao houses.
– Dinner and overnight at a Dao ethnic homestay. Spend time with your friendly host to learn about their daily life, customs, and culture.
Day 2 : Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac
Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner/ Accommodation: Hotel in Meo Vac
Today you travel along the legendary Happiness Road, crossing four districts: Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, and Meo Vac. You explore the Dong Van Karst Plateau, where nearly 80% of the area is limestone formed over 400 million years ago. The landscape is truly majestic, with dramatic cliffs, terraced rice fields, winding passes, and deep valleys.
– After breakfast, drive through spectacular winding mountain passes, including famous sections with three consecutive bends and nine consecutive bends.
– Visit Lung Khuy Cave, admired for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites.
– Explore the Moon Stone Field, a unique and barren rocky landscape.
– Visit the H’Mong King’s Palace, over 100 years old, blending H’Mong, Chinese, and French architectural styles.
– Lunch at a local restaurant and continue through Dong Van town.
– Drive along the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass (20 km), known as the King of Passes in Viet Nam.
– Trek along the famous Sky Path, offering breathtaking views over Tu San Canyon and the Nho Que River far below.
– Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac town.
Day 3 : Meo Vac – Nho Que River – Lung Phin – Thon Tha
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner/ Accommodation: Private room at local homestay
– Breakfast and check-out.
– Visit Meo Vac Sunday Market (Sunday only), a vibrant gathering place for ethnic minorities such as H’Mong, Dao, Giay, Lo Lo, and Tay, dressed in colorful traditional costumes.
Note: If the Sunday market is missed, another local market can be arranged depending on your travel date.
– Take a boat trip on the Nho Que River, cruising through the spectacular Tu San Canyon, surrounded by towering cliffs.
– Continue driving along challenging mountain roads, including a unique M-shaped pass, with stunning views of mountains and valleys.
– Have lunch at a local restaurant.
– Drive through some of the most breathtaking roads in Ha Giang, with winding turns and dramatic scenery. Photo stops along the way.
– Arrive in Thon Tha (Tha Village), a peaceful rural village surrounded by terraced rice fields, streams, forests, and mountain slopes.
– Stroll through the village to see traditional stilt houses roofed with palm leaves and observe daily life and local culture.
– Dinner and overnight in a bungalow.
Day 4: Thon Tha Trekking – Ha Noi
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner/ Accommodation: not included
– After breakfast, enjoy a 3-hour trek along small trails from Tha Village – Khuoi My Village – Lung Vai Village.
– The trek offers stunning views of traditional stilt houses, terraced rice fields, bamboo forests, streams, and waterfalls.
– Lunch at a local restaurant.
– Drive back to Ha Noi, passing tea plantations, mountains, and countryside villages. Stop occasionally for photos and short visits.
– Arrive in Ha Noi and drop-off at your hotel. Tour ends.
