Ninh Binh is province in Red River Delta region, It’s not only famous for natural landscapes such as grotto caves and rivers, mountains in Tam Coc, Trang An and Múa Cave but also famous for historical and cultural attraction: Hoa Lu ancient capital, Phat Diem stone cathedral. This trip take you to all the mentioned places and biking in the countrysides, rice fields. It is an unforgettable feeling.
Day 1: Ha Noi – Trang An – Hoa Lu – Phat Diem Cathedral
Meal : luch, dinner and overnight in bungalow
07.00 am : The private car and tour guide will pick up you in hotel and depart 120km for green Ninh Binh, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the rural area on the way.
– Take a rowing boat trip in Trang An where was officially recognized as a mixed cultural & natural heritage by UNESCO thanks to its outstandingly natural & cultural values. Sitting on boat, you see breathtaking landscapes of limestone mountain, the boat go through 3 caves in which there is the longest & the most beautiful cave in Trang An ( Dot cave of 1000 metters long & naturally beautiful stalagtites
– Explore Hoa Lu, the Ancient capital dating back to the 10th century to see 2 ancient temples of 2 Kings from Dinh and Le dynsties and listen to historical stories about country foundation of great Viet after thousand year Chinese domination.
– Have tasty luch.
– Drive 40 km from Hoa Lu to Phat Diem cathedral. This is cathedral complex covers 22 ha includes a large church, a bell tower, 5 small churchs, 3 artificial stone caves in which there is a church was built entirely by natural stone. Espeacilly, Phat Diem cathedral architecture is blend of Vietnamese and European architectural styles. It was mainly built in traditional Vietnamese architecture, similar to historical palaces and temples.
– Have dinner and overnight in Tam Coc.
Day 2: Mua Cave – Tam Coc – Bich Dong
Meals : breakfast, luch
– Wake up to enjoy fresh air in the countryside and have breakfast.
– Visit Mua Cave where is the most beautiful view point to view in Ninh Binh, which is considered as “miniature Great Wall” of Vietnam, hiking up 458 steps to dragon mountain for panoramic view of Tam Coc and the surrounding limestone peaks and valleys
– Take rowing boat trip (2 paxs/ boat) to see Sunshine Valley (a hidden gem, It’s a perfect place for those who want to escape the tourist crowds and immerse themselves in untouched natural beauty ). Boat trip takes about 1,5 hours along a peaceful river you see towering limestone mountains, and tranquil valleys. Passing through 2 caves — calm and cool inside.
– We cycle in around Tam Coc, Lotus valley, Sunshine valley through rice paddies, rural villages to discover Viet Nam countryside and breath fresh air.
– Enjoy tasty lunch in local restaurant
– Visit Bich Dong pagoda complex ( Jade Cave pagoda ). It is located in the cave with unique position and architecture in Viet Nam. You see 3 pagodas are located on the mountain ( Lower pagoda, Middle Pagoda, Upper Pagoda ) to learn more about Buddism in Viet Nam.
– Say goodbye Ninh Binh and driving back to Ha Noi
